I was really impressed with the fit and finish of the knives at such attractive prices. The Swisstool costs a heck of a lot more than the SAK's I've owned so it took some reading of reviews and watching some YouTube videos to make the plunge.I'm really glad I purchased the Spirit X. The knife is actually a bit longer than my Leatherman Wave but it has a much smaller case made of leather-like material that has a great fit and finish. The tool feels very solid, has the perfect compliment of tools available and simply is more enjoyable to use than my Leatherman. The locking mechanism is cleverly designed and is non-obtrusive to use in practice. This tool will definitely be traveling with me when out in the backcountry, horseback riding, or even out for a long hike nearby. Pros: tools- well made and locking when in use (you don't want to have one fold up and injure yourself) pliers- can double as tweezers chisel point- can scrape anything or around camp you can do camp craft much easier and fine detailed... file- is good enough to remove burrs and and potential splinters scissors- are sharp and have a tight action (wife always uses them...) knife- i picked the X model because the knife isn't serrated and thus easier to sharpen (i carry the Fallkniven F1 for daily chores, and A1 for my BOB...) It is usually rated very high with people who actually have purchased and used Victorinox's version of a non-knife based Multi-Tool.I have had and been using this item for over two months now. I must also admit I am very pleased with this tool. It is well made. Fit and finish, quality of the tools, type of tools supplied, all seem top notch. I was so pleased with the Spirit X I went and also purchased the regular Spirit. The only difference between the two is the blade supplied. The Spirit X has the Regular knife and the Spirit has a Serated Blade. I am positive these two Multi-Tools will last me a lifetime and I believe anyone looking for a Multi-Tool would be pleased with the Victorinox Brand. |
