Use it for a larger size sleeping bag, so I have to really use some force to get it all in and this bag holds up. So far I love Alps equipment! I bought a Slumberjack and the seam split when I stuffed it the second time. But this Alps is great on strength. I like the zipper pouch as a bonus too!.The only thing I wish, was that two of the straps would have "pop-off" clips (like a small Kelty I have) instead of the 4 cinch straps on this Alps. It would make it just that more quicker to access. Also, the cap that goes over the end is very helpful to cover your stuff that kinda pops-out the end drawstring when overstuffing. *********UPDATE*********** after a year and a half later, still going strong. No failures, no wear, holding up great. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Excellent space savers!, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ALPS Mountaineering Compression Sleeping Bag Stuff Sack (Sports) I purchased two of these (one Medium/olive drab green, one Large/rust orange) to see which one would be better suited for compacting down my fairly large REI Lumen +10 mummy style sleeping bag. To my surprise the sleeping bag fit just fine into the Medium stuff sack, but it took some effort. The sleeping bag fit into the large stuff sack quite easily. Once compacted down with the sleeping bag inside, the medium and the large are close to the same size.The difference lies in the amount of effort you want to put into squishing your sleeping bag, and the shape you want it to be once squished. The large bag makes a sort of pumpkin shape, while the medium bag makes a cylindric shape. Either way, the sleeping bag now occupies about half the volume of the original stuff sack that it came with (no straps.) They seem durable enough. I'll update this review if I encounter any problems. Adjust each one a little at a time and four is enough to keep the load from bulging too much in any direction. The cinch straps work well even when tight. 2) BONUS: each sack is sent in a durable mesh bag. Once stuffed, it won't fit in that bag, but it's nice to have yet another bag for carrying things! CONS: 1) Misleading sizes. I can't confirm anything in the product description now, but I swear I had read something that lead me to purchase a Large for a mummy-style sleeping bag. A guide comes with the pack: Small, 7" x 16", Clothes, lightweight bag Medium, 9" x 20", Compact 20 Degree bag Large, 11" x 23", Most Mummy Bags XL, 12" x 25", XL Winter Sleeping Bags As it turns out, I can VERY EASILY manually pack my Coleman Crescent Mummy Bag (15-degrees) to a size smaller than the stuff sack will compress to with the straps...
