As of 2011 this knife is in fact LEGAL to carry. A spring assisted knife is LEGAL as long as the operation involves the use of a stud, hole, disk or in this case a FLIPPER. As long as the opening mechanism is attached to the blade and not on the handle (like the old switchblades were deployed, a button on the side) it is in fact LEGAL to carry. Delivery was very prompt and the knife was new in its box as described. The knife has some good weight to it, which is something I prefer in a working EDC knife. The fit and finish were good overall. And the spring action worked well from the get go. The flipper is well-positioned and allows for easy access and grip from any average length index finger. Upon release, the blade deploys aggressively, with a nice thwack. Lockup is solid. There was no blade play at all. The action is not so sensitive, however, that you have to worry much about accidentally deploying the blade. You need some pressure on the flipper to extend the blade. The blade was fairly sharp out of the box -- and with some quick work on a pocket sharpener became much sharper. Overall, the knife is sturdy and well put together.
